For many centuries, the people have Cochin have used this ancient nets to catch fish.

If you get up at dawn and go down to the wharf, you can watch the fish being brought in and the auction that is held for the live fish. Below are pics of the ancient nets, a (very)short video of the fish auction (Sorry if it is sideways....I am still learning!), and the men bringing in their "catch" just after dawn
